Let’s start with this - we’re not here to bird-shame.

We think every Australian bird is beautiful in their own right, but to us, we don’t think the Cassowary is a very attractive bird.

They’re definitely an interesting bird to look at and we’re sure they’ve got a great personality, but we just couldn’t justify making a knife that looks exactly like a cassowary. 

So we decided to design ours based on the colours of the Cassowary, rather than its physical appearance.

The Cassowary is for everyone for everyday use - it may look intimidating but it’s not a hardcore military, survival or tactical knife, rather something that you can take anywhere, anytime, just like our phone, keys, or wallet. 

The Cassowary was built for the lifestyle of anyone and everyone - yourself, your mum, dad, your sweet yet dangerous grandma who always carries a knife, your sibling who just turned 35 and is now really into crafting, your best mate since primary school, or the neighbour who is always looking at you through binoculars and must really be into bird watching.... 

The Cassowary is for anyone and everyone (as long as they are over the legal carry/purchase age).

Whether you are a surfer, a skater, a photographer or a botanist... a sales person, a farmer, a tradie, or exploring the world... This knife was designed and built for anyone who is on the move...

We can never predict in the morning what we will encounter during the day but as we all know, things pop up. Whether it’s opening a box from an online purchase, cutting up some fruit for the kids, cutting a loose thread off your favourite shirt or cutting open that really tough plastic packaging they use for batteries - your everyday tool in your pocket is essential. 

We designed the Cassowary to be a fusion of Art, Design, Engineering and Style that brings function to your pocket for the rest of your life.

Just a reminder - this knife is inspired by the colours and shapes of The Cassowary. We’re not trying to make it look exactly the same, because let's face it, at the end of the day it wouldn’t be a nice knife to look at.
